Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Stories

Jaeger-LeCoultre, the watchmaker of watchmakers, is currently holding the Reverso Stories exhibition at Sydney’s Martin Place until 19 May 2024. This is by far the biggest exhibition held by JLC in Australia.

The exhibition is at Sydney's Martin Place (between Castlereagh and Pitt Streets).

The beautiful Reverso setup includes the 1931 café.

Guests are greeted by staff and given a history of the iconic Reverso, highlighting its unique features, including the principles of the golden ratio.

The "Golden Ratio" is a mathematical ratio of approximately 1.618. In design, it is used to create aesthetically pleasing proportions and layouts. It is found in various elements of design, including architecture, art, and graphic design. The ratio is believed to create a sense of harmony and balance in visual compositions, making it a popular tool for designers seeking to create visually appealing and balanced designs. Now we know the secret behind why the Reverso is so beautiful and timeless!

It can get pretty busy, so bookings are normally preferred, but walk-ins are also welcome, especially if you are short on time.

The exhibition features many rare and ultra-complicated Reversos on display, including these three new beautiful enamel pieces.

The craftsmanship and gem-setting are astounding.

Guests have the opportunity to try their hand at the art of pearlage. It's more challenging than it appears—one must be focused!

At the end of the tour, guests can unwind and enjoy a beverage at the Reverso Cafe 1931.

This Reverso Tribute Duoface features a stunning Burgundy dial paired with a pink gold case.

Spotted are some oldies, but oh, so good!

These types of events are great opportunities to see many beautiful pieces, like this collector with his beautiful Reverso Chronograph.

The Reverso Chrono boasts a 30-minute chronograph with a flyback complication.

It is also a good excuse to catch up with friends and enjoy good vibes.

Don’t forget to grab your copy of the Reverso magazine.

And that wraps up my day at the exhibition. It was truly enjoyable to connect with friends, meet new collectors, delve into the rich history of the Reverso, and see many beautiful watches. A big thank you to the whole Jaeger-LeCoultre team for the warm hospitality!
